Brief description of research: Dr. King’s primary interest is in the use of isotopic analysis to assess the impact of agriculture on human societies, and the effects of environment and culture on human subsistence choices. Currently her research focuses on the agricultural transition in Northern Chile, but her previous research has examined the intensification of rice agriculture in Northeast Thailand.
